An unstoppable force – opti has been an overriding success for many years. Now it’s time for a new, big plan. From 2019, opti will be expanding into Halls C5 and C6. These six halls mean we can now cover an even broader spectrum of the optics industry.
opti SHOWCASE in Hall C4
opti will be unveiling a new format in 2019: the opti SHOWCASE special area will set the stage for a particular topic of the future, which will always be specific enough for you to put your ideas straight into practice. Find out the best way to guide the customer through this journey, both at optical retailers as well as before and after the actual sale. And the SHOWCASE masters will be there to answer your questions, with an expert on hand to provide advice on each topic.
MORE SPACE FOR PERFECTION, COMMUNICATION AND THE EFFECTIVE opti FEELING
The new spaciousness creates even more space for all demands. And leaves nothing to chance.
It gives exhibitors an even stronger presence for their trade show booths, which means showcasing individual offers to their very best advantage.
Visitors benefit from wider aisles, which makes strolling around and stopping, small talk and hunting for the next sensation even easier and more effective.
Despite the greater area, it is still important to us to maintain the balance between clear structures and drifting liveliness. So, we have created additional areas for networking and as a place in which to retreat and enjoy a little time-out.

THIS IS WHERE BIG THINGS HAPPEN
Creativity of the highest order: independence, progressive aesthetics with a handmade character, the YES independent design area.
The hype is just as unstoppable as the increasing demand from the independent scene. This is why we’re expanding the exhibition space for innovative eyewear labels and will be presenting these in two halls in 2019.
We are merging the previously separate areas YES! and !HOT into one joint, vibrant design platform.
THE HALL STRUCTURE IN DETAIL
Hall C1 to C3
Spectacle frame manufacturers: It’s hard to grasp the diversity with which the world of “Look & Feel” continues to evolve. Starting in opti 2019, the stage for licensed brands and manufacturers’ brands will be even bigger, spanning halls C1 to C3. Sample cases will be located in the latter.
Independent labels: Exhibitors who have qualified for YES independent design will be placed between halls C1 and C2 in equal shares. The new area for the “Creative Wild” merges the previous areas YES! and !HOT into one collective, vibrant design platform.
The hall C4 will become the centre for local optician businesses: to aid the optimisation and rea-lignment of opticians’ shops, information on shop fittings, store design and decoration, business consulting and marketing agencies, workshop equipment and fittings, as well as merchandising products (spectacle chains and cases, cleaning and care products and display cases) will be found here, for optimum customer service in store.
According to the principle “continuing education is a competitive advantage”, exciting keynote speeches will again be taking place at the opti FORUM. For the get-together of the next generation, the opti CAMPUS is the “place to be”. In terms of content, the trade journals will latch onto the areas of education and training in the knowledge transfer area.
Distributors and Industry suppliers, including glasses components, raw materials and semi-finished products, are also getting a new, bigger home in C4. The International Pavilions, including the China Pavilion, will also be found here.
Hall C5 and C6
The field of glass and spectacle lenses, including the associated machine manufacturers, is expanding to two halls.
In addition to Refraction and Diagnostics, the IT and the purchasing communities have their focus in C5.
Spectacle lenses and the field of contact lenses have found their new home in hall C5 as well as hall C6.
